The huge advantage of Prague’s airport is its location, it is located on the edge of Prague, so the connection to the city center is quite easy. Here are all the options how to get there, just please don´t try to walk there, that won´t work :).

TAXI

Getting to the airport – This is the most comfortable way how to get to the airport, it is also the most expensive way. You can use Uber, Bolt, or also reliable taxi e.g., AAA, where you can see the price as well. Always ask for the price before the ride, so you are not surprised by an over expensive ride.

The approximate price for a ride from the city center is 600czk and the ride takes around 30 minutes if the traffic is low. It really depends on the pick-up spot. Make sure you have enough time especially in a peak hour (7-9am and 4-7pm), traffic can be bad, so you can be stuck there for a while and be delayed.

It is convenient to take a taxi if you have an early morning flight or late-night flight and you need to be at the airport between 11pm – 5am. Around this time frame it can be difficult and sometimes even impossible to get to the airport by public transport.

While arriving to Prague – By the arrival hall you will see many of taxis. Just make sure you know the final price in advance, it is usually over expensive.


BUS

Getting to the airportBus no. 119 goes from metro station Nádraží Veleslavín (A line – green). You will see a sign with plane symbol. The bus goes from there approximately every 10 minutes, it takes you to all the terminals. Terminals 1 and 2 are connected and walk through. In case you get off on the wrong one there is easy and fast way how to get to the right one. The bus ride takes around 20 minutes when the traffic is normal.

Getting to the city centerThe bus stop for the bus heading to the city center is by the Terminal 2. Right by the bus stop you can buy the ticket. For more option about the tickets HERE. If you are planning to use the public transport often, it is worth buying the ticket that is valid for more hours (e.g., 72h.) For more information about the public transport HERE.

The bus heading the city center goes every 15 minutes, the last stop is on Nádraží Veleslavín (metro station A line – green), from there you can go easily whenever you need.

Via Google maps you can search for any public transport connection in and out of Prague.

At the airport there is an information center where anyone working there can help you and answer your questions. The information center is in Terminal 1 and 2.


Airport Express

If you are accommodated in an area of Hlavní nádraží (main train station), or if you are having transfer there and you are in a hurry to get to the airport, you can definitely use the Airport Express bus, its departure is from Hlavní nádřaží and it goes directly to the airport.

  • Hlavní nádraží – airport 5.30am – 10pm
  • letiště – Hlavní nádraží 5.30am – 9pm

The bus station is right by the main street Wilsonova towards Holešovice.
